Why is it so hard for men to work under a woman?

I know this will be a debating topic but I am sticking to the facts, and we should normalize certain things significantly. Thousands and hundreds of unprogressive thoughts in this society had been affecting generation after generation till now. We are in 2022 and still, I feel there is a long way to go. I am not targeting a particular gender, I just want you guys to work progressively.

1. Men go to wars and women go dancing

The archaeological evidence had shown women had hunted in the past alongside men. Women have participated in wars, so what else do you need to not put women inside the homes and consider them the weakest sex? Never in history, have we been sure of the fact that women cooked and men hunted? They shared every aspect of their life, they lived in a progressive community is what the basic history says. So, let's normalize every activity that both of us do.

2. Men have a history

Yeah, this is something one of the spokesmen in our college had beautifully narrated. Men are chauvinists. They carry a history of aggressive, dominating, and egoistic characters. Our fathers had seen their mothers doing household chores and their fathers dominating the show. Our granddads had seen their mothers doing the same things. The repetitive ideas that dads give to their sons had been so unhappy for women these years. So they share the history of ideologies that are not working in this world. There goes so many collisions and fights between father and mother, among lovers, and more.

Men had been chauvinists and created a world where it was so hard for a woman to buck up her ass and come out of those ideologies. You guys have improved a lot, but still, there is scope on how to treat, how to talk, and how to make the world better for women.

3. You go everywhere!

So the boys planned a trip in a day, there may be financial constraints but never a problem for their parents to send them on a trip. Let's come to the story of girls planning for the trip. Fortunately, I am on the other side, but let's talk about the majority. They can’t even plan a night's stay in their friend's home in the same city. Man, it's a hard time, to make a peaceful world for us to live in. We can't seek permissions for every damn thing that guys make vulnerable.

Man, I know you guys reading this blog are not rapists and never played in a women’s life. But the smallest things matter too. On how you objectify a woman, how you treat her, how you speak with her, how you maintain your boundaries, on how you make the world safer for every woman to go from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.

The smallest things are the biggest impacts. Hey, see her dressing, hey see that girl having a boy cut, hey see that girl riding a bike. We never commented on a boy who wears boxers and stands on the balcony. We never commented on boys driving a scooter. So, can we normalize all those bullshit comments you make?

4. Normalize every damn thing!

Normalize boys who like pink color. Common guys, it's never a girlish color, so we didn’t hesitate to choose red. We never hesitated to play cricket, so why do we treat certain things as boy's games, boys' colors, and boys' toys? Normalize women riding bullets, why does the whole traffic give a damn look to girls riding bikes? So it's okay for boys to have pink color in their pockets, it's okay for boys to be classical dancers, and it's okay for boys to do a damn thing that a girl does!

Men like to dominate men, and yeah, use your brain for these rubbish ideologies that the world puts us in.

5. Population matters

The population of females in the world is estimated at 3,904,727,342 or 3,905 million or 3.905 billion, representing 49.58% of the world population. The world has 65,511,048 or 65.51 million more males than females.

To conclude this in one line, I know you guys face lots of competition but you guys dominate the population so you can’t complain about us for not having more rounds in a tournament. The thing is in every sport you take, men's registration and counts are always better than women's, so they face very hard competition. But, you can’t go like and say, the competition is low so you girls can make it to the top easily. My point is the population matters. You guys are more in number, and so does the competition.

Okay, I know these might feel offensive to certain people but here is my answer, if you feel offended, then you guys need to work. And most of the people I met in my school, hardly I can say the progressive people are in single digits. Normalize everything we have been not normalizing, the world needs equality and freedom for all genders.

There is a lot of difference between adjustment and compromise. If someone adjusting in a relationship, then it's one of the toxic ones. Compromise is, your points are heard, you come to the center of the conversation and agree to both of their views, and come to the end solution. Adjusting is different and it's something that should not be done. So boys and girls, start standing for your demands, compromise and never adjust. If we can do all things equally, then why does there comes a question of equality and freedom?
